About
Hi, I’m Gerdriaan Mulder! I’m a Master student, based in Nijmegen, following the TRU/e Master in Cyber Security.
This blog is a collection of research material I collected during my research internship at the Radboud University under supervision of dr. Jaap-Henk Hoepman.
Research topic
Think of ways how you can use a mobile device to protect your privacy.[0]
In my project plan I set out the playing field, see the excerpt below:
The subject combines two somewhat contradicting concepts: protecting privacy and mobile devices. The latter tend to collect, contain and emit a lot of privacy sensitive data: accurate location, metadata on social contacts (e.g. date/time of phone calls and text messages), personal photos, recently connected wireless networks or Bluetooth devices, etc. When talking about protecting privacy, one would not immediately think of a mobile device as a helpful tool.
You can find the collection of literature on the literature page.
